Chris Beckman

Profile:
An underwriting manager for Arizona, Chris Beckman has been a Cincinnati Insurance commercial underwriting manager since 2008. He joined the company in 2002 and has experience as a commercial lines underwriter and property specialist. In addition to teaching underwriting classes, he holds the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation.

July 2, 1944: an American soldier slowly walks the steep incline to board a ship for an extended voyage overseas. All around him the city of New York is alive with the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Kids run around the boardwalk chasing each other while the balloons wrapped around their wrists bobble and struggle to catch up. Young couples walk hand in hand as if they are the only two people on earth, unaware of large ships preparing to leave port.

December 24, 1944. A young American soldier stands guard outside a bombed-out shelter that he and his comrades are using as a resting place for the night. The winds are howling, and the frigid temperatures send a piercing chill down his spine. Soon this almost unbearable feeling leaves his body as his mind begins to reminisce about his family at home.
