We diligently address the mechanics in anticipation of expected winter extremes. But it’s just as important to prepare ourselves for winter driving. We must be ready to adjust our habits to better face the unpredictable challenges that often come with winter driving.

Road trip! Know the laws where you drive

Know the traffic laws in the states where you are vacationing.

Before you head out on your summer road trip, consider your itinerary. Traffic laws and enforcement in states that you visit may differ from the state where you live. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration offers a website with a map detailing state distracted driving laws. Click on the state to see restrictions on cell phone and texting use by age, in school zones or construction zones.
