College students, identity thieves want you


Ask most young adults about their valuables and they’ll probably note their car or their phone or their computer. They likely won’t mention their identity. “Why would anyone want my identity? I have no money and no credit.” Those are exactly the reasons identity thieves want them, especially if they’re college students and especially if their parents are paying for their living expenses.

With schools gearing up for fall, school buses will be returning to the roads. While statistically school buses are the safest method to transport children to school, it’s a good time for parents to remind children to follow safety rules while on the bus and at the bus stop.

College students may need fire prevention refresher

Most campus-related fires occur in off-campus housing, according to statistics collected by the U.S. Fire Administration. Considering that the majority of the nation’s 20 million college students choose to live in off-campus housing, this puts a significant number of them at risk.
